Charles Kaylor is the founder and principal of the Public Sphere Information Group. Charles has a background of working with state and local governments across the U.S. His broad experience has provided an expertise in the relationship of technological innovation and development to the well-being, competitiveness and sustainability of public sector organizations and the communities they serve.
In founding the PSI Group, Charles combined his expertise in innovative research with his experience in providing consulting services to governmental organizations and other entities engaged with the public sector. The PSI Group has developed a portfolio of research and clients at intersection of technological development and public policy.
Charles's broadly published and presented research has been at the forefront in assessing and charting the technological evolution of public sector organizations. For example, PSI Group's Municipality eGovernment Assessment Project (MeGAP) is considered a standard in benchmarking the progress of municipal technological implementation.
Charles earned a Bachelor's Degree from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. He also holds a Masters in Political Science from Duke University and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan.
Charles has authored many articles and papers on subjects like government applications of technology, the state of technology planning, economic development and competitiveness e-government development, GIS and technology business planning, and information architecture. Charles is a regular speaker to all sorts of events (from conferences to workshops and seminars). An experienced instructor, Charles is an expert in developing programs and curricula to meet client needs.
