PSI Group Director speaks to Ann Arbor IT Zone

Ann Arbor, MI (October, 22 2002)

Charles Kaylor, founder and Director of the Public Sphere Information Group, recently addressed the Ann Arbor IT Zone, presenting the latest data from the Municipality eGovernment Assessment Project (MeGAP).

The panel, "Building the Virtual Town Hall: A Look at State and Local E-government Implementation", also featured Teresa Douglas from Michigan.gov and John Bissa from Plante-Moran.

Kaylor reported exciting new data from over 500 cities and towns that currently constitute the Wave II MeGAP analysis. The presentation provides a snapshot of current egovernment "best practices" among leading edge innovators. The hallmark of the report is the summary of data from Summer, 2002 on the largest cities in the U.S.

The Ann Arbor IT Zone hosts regular HI-Tech Tuesday Events, which focus on a variety of IT-related events. From the IT Zone website: "The Ann Arbor IT Zone is the fastest growing IT organization of its kind in the state of Michigan, zooming to over 200 enthusiastic members within its first year of operation. With dynamic speakers and programs, business advice and services, and networking opportunities with Michigan's "best and brightest," it's little wonder that the Ann Arbor IT Zone won "Best Economic Development Organization" for the year 2000 from the state of Michigan at the annual IT Summit."
